The company, initially called SMART GROUP, started as a partnership between owners Arvind VERMA and Saroj KUMAR and was run from their shop at Jeevan Plaza, which is situated in Gomti Nagar Lucknow. Arvind completed all the vehicle maintenance and Saroj looked after the administrative side of operations. As the company developed in 2010 as SMART Technologies.
