He has trained under three eminent Gurus Sri Ramananda Yogi, Sri Dhirendra Brahmachari and Sri Sri Sri Sadchitananda Yogi. He teaches yoga and trains yoga teachers, combining the teachings of his three gurus and his own experience of more than thirty years.
Sri Chandrakant has studied anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and yoga at the Vemana Yoga Institute. This he followed by a three year period of intense research on the effects of pranayama. He learnt, through firsthand experience, how pranayama could be optimised to heal specific ailments and restore wellbeing.
From Sri Dhirendra Brahmachari, he learnt a series of subtle exercises to heal the joints of the body and also several esoteric and lesser known aspects of yoga.
His last teacher, Sri Sri Sri Sadchitananda Yogi was an enlightened master. He initiated Chandrakant into the higher secrets of yoga, helped him fine tune his skills and deepen his understanding of the science.
On the command of his Guru, he established the Chetana Center for Yoga and Health Education in 1996 - with the aim of bringing about a change in the health and lifestyle of his pupils. This is his area of interest. He believes that however depleted a person’s health may be, he can be restored to wholeness through the regular practice of Yoga.
